Senior Engineering Support Specialist

- Act as the main point of contact and subject matter expert for Submit inquiries and processes. - Offer ongoing support, document coordination, and communication for projects assigned to external firms, Project Management Teams, Design Teams, Transmission Field Organization, and other stakeholders, facilitating project designs between the design team and applicable vendors. - Receive and manage emails related to the Submit process. - Keep track of project milestones in the Submit Tracking sheet, utilized by Project Managers, project teams, and internal design teams. - Assess contracted design submissions to ensure compliance with standards before distribution to internal Design teams for technical review. - Identify and resolve issues related to design reviews by working with design reviewers and respective firms, which may involve modification of design packages and extensive collaboration. - Manage and update ProjectWise Facility Folders, including comments from email communications. - Track project milestone schedules and dates using various reporting tools, performing necessary edits in systems like Microsoft Project in collaboration with Project Engineers and Contracting Officer Representatives. - Generate, maintain, and perform data-entry for project-specific SAALSA files. - Collaborate with the Transmission Design group to route drawing packages for PE Review. - Retrieve drawings from ProjectWise and organize them into .pdf formats or generate paper plots as needed. - Conduct data synchronization checks across different databases and Systems of Record, implementing changes as required. - Keep the SharePoint program site updated by exploring new features to enhance efficiency. - Maintain SharePoint Lists and Tools, suggesting improvements or new usage instances. - Establish and manage SharePoint organization, team, and project sites, including document repositories, calendars, workspaces, and tracking lists.
