Requirements
Must:
- I have proven experience managing and mentoring a team of data engineers and/or business analysts.
- I possess over 5 years of hands-on experience in data engineering, data integration, or related roles.
- I have strong experience working within an Agile Scrum development team.
- I can demonstrate my ability to take a project or significant feature from concept to launch.
- I am proficient with Snowflake for data warehousing and analytics.
- I have a working knowledge of data vault principles.
- I have hands-on experience with Talend for data integration and ETL/ELT processes.
- I am familiar with ActiveBatch for job scheduling and workflow automation.
- I have experience with Microsoft Azure data services (e.g., Azure Data Factory, Azure SQL Database, Azure Storage).
- I possess excellent communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- I hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, or a related field.
Responsibilities
- In this role, I will lead, mentor, and coach a team of engineers and business analysts, supporting their career advancement and professional development.
- I will oversee the design, development, and implementation of data pipelines, integrations, and workflows using tools such as Snowflake, Talend, and ActiveBatch.
- I will manage the design, development, and creation of dimensional models and presentation layers for business use.
- I will collaborate closely with business stakeholders to translate business requirements into strong technical solutions that drive measurable outcomes.
- I will ensure high-quality deliverables by applying Agile Scrum practices, managing backlogs, sprint planning, and iterative development.
- I will champion data governance, data quality, and performance optimization across all data initiatives.
- I will develop and maintain documentation, standards, and best practices for data engineering processes.
- I will actively contribute to strategic data initiatives and assist in defining the long-term data engineering roadmap.
