Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Software Engineering or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in software development or support, or equivalent education and experience
- In-depth knowledge of modern software tools, cloud infrastructure, networking, platforms, and open-source technologies
- Proficient understanding of media packaging and encoding technologies
- Strong grasp of software integration, troubleshooting, and cybersecurity aspects
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional engineering teams
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office and other technical tools
Responsibilities
- Provide expert software-related technical support for SCD products, including PLC controls and AR/VR applications
- Diagnose and resolve intricate software, communication, interfacing, and remote monitoring issues
- Leverage AI-based troubleshooting tools for enhanced issue resolution efficiency
- Collaborate with customers, vendors, and various MEPPI divisions to clarify software needs and devise effective solutions
- Modify or utilize existing software to underpin remote monitoring, motion control, and electromechanical systems
- Write software performance specifications and partner with third-party developers
- Conduct software testing and create necessary documentation
- Evaluate software and hardware compatibility, manage system upgrades, and ensure cybersecurity
- Review Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) related to software for correct implementation
- Develop and deliver advanced software training for field technicians and support staff
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to the support team
- Participate in product design reviews to ensure software readiness for integration
- Attend customer meetings and internal gatherings as a software subject matter expert
- Collaborate effectively with internal departments, vendors, and customers to enhance SCDs professional reputation
