Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of relevant experience in designing, developing, and testing Data Platform solutions, including Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Data Products
- Expertise in Databricks and AWS
- Advanced knowledge of both relational and non-relational databases, such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
- Experience managing and standardizing clinical data from structured and unstructured sources
- Familiarity with building and managing solutions on AWS
- Understanding of healthcare standards including FHIR, C-CDA, and traditional HL7
- Knowledge of clinical standards/ontologies like ICD10/SNOMED/NDC/LOINC/Rx Norm
- Proficient in constructing data models, data warehouses, and designing data lakes for enterprise purposes
- Experience in designing and implementing APIs, ETL, and data ingestion processes
- Skilled in performance tuning, query optimization, security, monitoring, and release management
- Capability to handle large, disparate, identified, and de-identified datasets from multiple sources
- Familiarity with building and deploying Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform, asset bundles, and GitHub
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the development of Databricks Data Warehouse(s) and Lakehouse solutions tailored for a healthcare data-focused enterprise
- Configure and maintain unity catalog to enable enterprise data lineage and ensure data quality
- Establish and enhance Data Security protocols, managing both identified and de-identified (PHI/PII) solutions
- Build data solutions for clients while adhering to high standards of reliability, quality, and performance
- Develop solutions utilizing Delta Live Tables and automate transformation workflows
- Construct effective enterprise-level medallion architecture(s)
- Develop fit-for-purpose near real-time streaming and batch processing solutions
- Create efficient enterprise solutions for managing both structured and unstructured healthcare data
- Implement Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and Asset Bundles
- Collaborate with the business to design cost-effective and transparent Data solutions
- Architect, construct, and maintain scalable data pipelines while monitoring performance
- Identify and execute enhancements to boost data processing efficiency
- Construct infrastructure for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of diverse data sources using SQL, Delta Live Tables, Python, Scala, and cloud-based big data technologies
- Design and implement standards-based (FHIR, OMOP, etc.) data models for distinct data types
- Assemble extensive, complex datasets aligning with business requirements
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure the provision of valuable, functional data
- Facilitate communication between technical and non-technical stakeholders to convey complex concepts
- Align technology implementations with business strategy for efficient and secure solutions
- Identify and implement internal process enhancements to optimize data delivery and scalability
- Create analytics tools to provide actionable insights into operational efficiency and key business metrics
- Design data tools for clinical, analytics, and data science teams to innovate our products
