Requirements
Must:
- Over 10 years of relevant experience in designing, developing, and testing Data Platform solutions, including Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Data Products
- Advanced expertise in Databricks and AWS
- High proficiency in both relational and non-relational databases, such as SQL Server, PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, DocumentDB
- Experience managing and standardizing clinical data from various structured and unstructured sources
- Experience in building and maintaining solutions on AWS
- Extensive knowledge of healthcare standards, including FHIR, C-CDA, and traditional HL7
- In-depth understanding of clinical standards and ontologies such as ICD10, SNOMED, NDC, LOINC, and Rx Norm
- Proven ability to develop data models, data warehouses, and design data lakes for business and product needs
- Familiarity with API design, ETL, and data ingestion processes and relevant tools for enterprise solutions
- Experience in performance tuning, query optimization, security measures, monitoring, and release management
- Experience in managing large, varied datasets, both identified and de-identified, from multiple sources
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) utilizing Terraform, asset bundles, and GitHub
- Experience collaborating with Data Science teams to create AI-driven solutions that enhance efficiencies and add business value
Responsibilities
- Act as a subject matter expert and thought leader within the Data Platform Domain
- Serve as a visionary in data processing design and implementation, establishing advanced structures for data handling and quality maintenance
- Lead projects by managing timelines, coordinating teams, and providing updates on project statuses
- Ensure compliance with governance standards and continuously align data practices with evolving industry requirements
- Contribute to the overarching vision and strategy for data engineering within the organization, ensuring alignment with long-term goals
- Establish ambitious objectives, advise on strategic initiatives, implement advanced monitoring, and influence high-level decision-makers to achieve transformative outcomes
- Expand Data Warehouse(s) and Lakehouse solutions tailored for a healthcare-focused enterprise
- Configure and maintain the unity catalog to ensure enterprise data lineage, quality, auditability, and stewardship
- Develop and enforce robust Data Security protocols, including management of PHI/PII solutions
- Implement a least privilege access policy for all systems and solutions
- Create data solutions for clients, adhering to the highest standards of reliability and performance
- Architect and maintain scalable data pipelines, ensuring optimal performance and monitoring
- Drive API design and implementation for integrating data across systems
- Lead the design and maintenance of efficient data models that comply with business objectives and data privacy regulations
- Collaborate with stakeholders to provide meaningful and functional data solutions
- Identify and implement process improvements to optimize data delivery and scalability
- Build tools and analytics that leverage the data pipeline to enhance operational efficiency and key performance metrics
- Lead efforts to investigate and deploy new tools and technologies for enhanced functionality
