Requirements
Must:
- Over 3 years of hands-on experience in designing, developing, and testing Data Platform solutions such as Data Warehouses, Data Lakes, and Data Products
- Proficient in Databricks and AWS environments
- Skilled in both relational and non-relational databases including SQL Server, PostgreSQL, and MongoDB
- Experience in managing and standardizing clinical data from various structured and unstructured formats
- Proven ability to build and manage solutions on AWS
- Understanding of APIs, ETL processes, and tools for enterprise data solutions
- Knowledgeable in performance tuning, query optimization, security measures, monitoring, and release management
- Ability to handle large, diverse, identified and de-identified datasets from multiple sources
- Familiar with Infrastructure as Code (IAC) practices using Terraform, asset bundles, and GitHub
Responsibilities
- Design and implement comprehensive Data Platform solutions aligned with our business aims while adhering to industry-leading data privacy standards
- Develop Databricks Data Warehouses and Lakehouse solutions tailored for healthcare-focused enterprises
- Manage and configure the unity catalog to enhance enterprise data lineage and ensure data quality
- Establish data security protocols and best practices, particularly for PHI/PII
- Forge reliable data solutions for clients, ensuring high standards for performance and quality
- Create ETL solutions utilizing Delta Live Tables and optimize transformations
- Construct performant enterprise-level medallion architecture
- Develop efficient near real-time streaming and batch processing solutions
- Engineer robust and efficient internal and external data solutions for diverse data types
- Utilize Terraform and Asset Bundles for Infrastructure as Code initiatives
- Collaborate in architecting, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines while monitoring and improving their performance
- Implement enhancements to boost data processing efficiency
- Devise effective monitoring solutions for data pipelines
- Build infrastructure required for optimal extraction, transformation, and loading of data from various sources using SQL, Delta Live Tables, Python, and Scala
- Work in partnership with internal and external stakeholders to deliver meaningful, valuable data solutions
- Partner with Data, Development, Analysts, Data Science, and Business teams to gather requirements and develop solutions
- Educate non-technical stakeholders on complex technical concepts and advise on best practices
- Ensure technology implementations align with business objectives, providing secure and efficient systems
- Identify and initiate process improvements to automate workflows and optimize data delivery across platforms
- Develop analytics tools that deliver actionable insights into operational efficiency and key business metrics
- Create data tools aiding clinical, analytical, and data science teams in enhancing our products into market leaders
