Requirements
Must:
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering or cloud engineering roles
- Practical experience with on-premise datacenter technologies including virtualization (Hyper-V preferred but open to VMware), storage (SAN/NAS), networking (routing, switching), and firewalls
- Strong familiarity with AWS services such as EC2, S3, VPC, IAM, and CloudFormation
- Proficient in Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD tools
- Solid understanding of networking principles (TCP/IP, VPNs, DNS, load balancing)
- Knowledge of Windows administration in both on-premise and cloud settings
- Experience with scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
- Strong problem-solving abilities, excellent communication, and documentation skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate the migration of on-premise infrastructure and applications to AWS
- Oversee, troubleshoot, and enhance performance of existing on-premise systems, including virtualization, storage, networking, and firewalls
- Design, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure utilizing AWS services, Infrastructure as Code (Terraform), and automation tools
- Create and sustain CI/CD pipelines to streamline application deployment and infrastructure modifications
- Ensure that security best practices are applied in both on-premise and cloud settings
- Collaborate with application teams, shared services, product managers, and other stakeholders to ensure seamless integration and operational excellence
- Participate in on-call rotations and incident response efforts for critical systems
- Document processes, architectures, and configurations for both legacy and cloud environments
