Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience with over 5 years in embedded systems development.
- Profound knowledge of computer networking and firmware for data-intensive projects.
- Strong skills in C programming for embedded systems with a sound understanding of memory management and real-time operating system concepts.
- Practical experience with connectivity modules such as Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, alongside RTOS (preferably FreeRTOS).
- Expertise in hardware-software interfacing using protocols like GPIO, I2C, SPI, and JTAG.
- Proficiency in using debugging tools (like debuggers and Wireshark) and measurement devices (including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and logic analyzers).
- Proven ability in debugging and rigorous testing to efficiently identify and resolve complex challenges.
- Familiar with version control systems, continuous integration processes, and build systems.
- Experience with ESP32 microcontrollers is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of cloud computing protocols (e.g., MQTT) and platforms like AWS is advantageous.
- Background in cellular connectivity is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to enhance collaboration in a team-driven environment.
Responsibilities
- Design and execute reliable firmware on MCU platforms, ensuring support for wireless connectivity, data upload, OTA updates, sensor integration, and essential functionalities.
- Develop and refine communication stacks for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and additional wireless protocols, assuring dependable pairing, network setup, and data transfer.
- Write optimized low-level code that interacts with hardware peripherals (e.g., RF modules, sensors) via standard interfaces such as GPIO, I2C, SPI, and UART.
- Employ best practices for error management and performance enhancement to support robust connectivity features.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to rigorously debug, test, and resolve firmware-related issues, ensuring peak performance, reliability, and security.
- Actively engage with multidisciplinary teams, sharing insights and aligning on system-level requirements to ensure cohesive project completion.
- Contribute to the readiness of our systems for large-scale production deployment.
- Review peer code to uphold best practices in style, accuracy, and efficiency.
