Requirements
Must:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in an IT-related discipline.
- A minimum of 2 years of IT support experience is strongly preferred.
- Proven customer service experience and strong interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with faculty and students.
- Self-motivated and accountable individual.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational capabilities.
- Demonstrated technical proficiency.
- Familiarity with school applications and systems is highly advantageous.
- Mentorship experience is a plus.
- Previous experience in special education is highly beneficial.
Responsibilities
- I will ensure the setup of new student and staff accounts and equipment before their first day and manage the return of equipment upon exits.
- I will add staff to the appropriate distribution lists pertinent to their work areas.
- I will oversee, organize, and actively manage the Post High School student IT support internship program, providing formal mentorship to the interns.
- I will effectively manage the Spiceworks helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring timely responses within 24 hours.
- I will oversee application management for ALMA, collaborating with the team on yearly systems management, including transferring and rolling over information, as well as setting up and generating report cards and student schedules.
- I will troubleshoot common technology issues related to computers, printers, networks, and escalate more complex technical problems to our IT vendor.
- I will support a 1:1 laptop computing environment for approx. 90 students and staff, dealing with repairs, maintenance, and updates for all technology (Macbooks, Chromebooks, Smartboards, copiers, printers, etc.).
- I will provide troubleshooting and support for SmartBoards and Google Administration tools.
- I will maintain and track IT equipment inventory and life cycles, including laptops, desktops, iPads, and chargers.
- I will conduct annual laptop sweeps and updates.
- I will research, develop, implement, install, maintain, and train staff on all new hardware and software.
- I will manage voicemail and email systems, assist with database development and maintenance, and provide audio/visual support for various events.
- I will maintain and administrate cloud-based services such as ESPED, ALMA, and Google Apps.
- I will handle MCAS app installations and run systems for MCAS exams through our network.
- I will cultivate positive working relationships with faculty, students, and vendors while coordinating with administrators on the student administration system, producing templates, report cards, transcripts, and class schedules.
- I will actively engage in Technology Committee meetings and initiatives, providing excellent customer service and demonstrating technical intuition.
- I will collaborate with colleagues and offer technology-focused professional development to staff as needed.
- I will participate in various IT-related projects and be available outside regular hours for urgent IT issues.
