Requirements
Must:
- Basic understanding of PC and server hardware
- Proficiency using the Linux command line and common UNIX tools
- 1 to 3 years of experience in Linux system and network administration
- Strong self-motivation and a driven work ethic
- Eagerness to learn new technologies and adapt to change
- Attention to detail with the ability to manage and analyze technical data from diverse sources
- Ability to switch effectively between people-oriented and technical mindsets
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with client teams to execute data center repairs and technician-related tasks including provisioning and decommissioning
- Perform hardware installation, including rack and stack, cabling, and troubleshooting
- Coordinate with internal Data Center teams on interdependent tasks, such as network configurations
- Manage tasks and tickets efficiently
- Facilitate rack integration and device/system configuration
- Troubleshoot systems with remote engineering teams
- Maintain documentation for installation, repair procedures, and rack layouts
- Provide feedback on hardware troubleshooting, testing, and installation processes
- Validate repair documentation regarding hardware and configurations
- Support on-site vendor visits by providing assistance and using internal tools
- Engage in space planning and asset/inventory management
- Manage equipment support RMA processes
- Aid in standardizing hardware for production, tooling, and automation
- Assist in formulating hardware requirements and specifications
- Contribute to various projects, including new capacity initiatives and repairs within the Data Center
- Undertake additional local tasks to support service needs
