Requirements
Must:
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in Linux system and network administration
- Basic familiarity with PC/server hardware
- Proficient in the Linux command line utilizing common UNIX tools
- Self-driven and motivated work ethic
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to continuous change
- Detail-oriented with the ability to manage and analyze technical data from various sources
- Capability to shift between a people-oriented and technical mindset
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to safely lift and move at least fifty (50) pounds
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with Data Center Operations Leads on server, networking equipment, and cabling installations and troubleshooting
- Utilize command-line tools and techniques for system management on Linux and various clients
- Provide initial troubleshooting and debug IT hardware issues
- Communicate professionally via emails, tasks, and meetings
- Manage high and low-level tasks while collaborating with partner teams to support IT service health and capacity
- Oversee and execute repairs on servers and related hardware in the repair queue
- Supervise and implement custom builds and modifications of servers and racks
- Ensure accurate documentation of IT hardware repairs and configurations
- Assist on-site vendor visits and provide support using internal tools
- Undertake additional responsibilities as required to support local IT services
