Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience
- Over 6 years of relevant experience in business support and/or IT support
- Advanced proficiency in designing, installing, maintaining, and configuring Cisco network infrastructure and applications from providers like AT&T, Lumen, or Optimum
- Required certifications: CCNA and CCNP
- Mandatory training in Cisco VOIP
- Preferred certification: CCIE
- Strong analytical skills to solve complex technical or administrative challenges
- Experience with Cisco IOS, Active Directory, DHCP, DNS, network hardware, and system design
- Hands-on experience with Cisco gear, firewalls, cable infrastructure, and WAN circuits
- Ability to communicate technical issues effectively in business terms
- Professional demeanor in all circumstances
- Willingness to support 24/7 operations and travel onsite when necessary
- Physical capability to lift weights up to 50 lbs for non-clinical tasks, with reasonable accommodations available
Responsibilities
- Provide technical direction within the team and the broader IT department
- Mentor less experienced team members by sharing technical expertise and guidance
- Analyze and identify root causes of issues, developing necessary work products
- Deliver technical solutions for Unified Communications infrastructure, including network, voice, and wireless services
- Develop, manage, and test disaster recovery strategies
- Lead evaluations and implementations of internal and external business solutions
- Advise management on relevant technical issues
- Apply change management processes and proactively communicate changes within the IT infrastructure
- Ensure the network operations environment remains available, focusing on EMR, HR, and other key systems
- Manage system capacities and configurations while adhering to established standards
- Resolve technical problems related to IT hardware and software efficiently
- Balance multiple tasks and manage project priorities effectively
- Participate in meetings and contribute to departmental knowledge by improving documentation and problem resolutions
- Provide quality customer service to all stakeholders
Description
We are seeking a Senior Unified Communications Engineer to join our team at Midland Health. In this role, you will be instrumental in guiding technical direction and supporting our mission, vision, and strategic objectives. We offer a full-time position with a schedule from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, as well as a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, along with a 401(k) plan and paid time off.
