Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Engineering or a related discipline - At least 10 years of hands-on experience in embedded software development - Proven capability to interface directly with target hardware, utilizing lab equipment for debugging and analysis - Proficient in C programming language - Familiar with Microsoft Office suite - Meticulous attention to detail - Strong organizational skills with a results-driven mindset - Excellent problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and prioritization skills - Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities

Responsibilities

- Design and develop embedded C software for microcontroller-based systems; VHDL firmware for FPGA systems may also be involved - Investigate and integrate new components, technologies, and methods into designs - Create tools for the manufacturing, calibration, and verification processes of safety-critical products - Assemble and troubleshoot hardware, utilizing basic soldering skills and operating test equipment in both office and lab environments - Develop and execute testing programs to ensure compliance with relevant performance, regulatory, and quality standards - Document and design using required formats such as BOMs, ECOs, and work instructions
