Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in computer engineering, electrical engineering, or computer science
- Minimum of 10 years experience in designing and/or overseeing development of digital and mixed-signal products with embedded software
- At least 5 years experience managing direct reports
- Proven experience in managing product development within a regulated industry
- Background in a manufacturing setting
- Familiarity with design, ERP, and project management software tools
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Exceptional attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- Results-driven with excellent critical thinking and prioritization skills
- Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication abilities
Responsibilities
- Lead multiple, concurrent product development projects from inception through support, managing team dynamics, scheduling, technical solutions, progress tracking, and scope adjustments
- Coach, mentor, motivate, and develop direct reports to enhance their skills and performance
- Oversee all phases of product development, ensuring compliance with regulatory, customer/market, and quality standards
- Drive projects to achieve company and engineering time, cost, and performance goals
- Contribute to technical problem-solving through reviews and direct product design input as needed
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop mutually beneficial solutions during product development and production processes
- Engage with Sales and customers, including limited travel, to support new technical and programmatic opportunities
- Interact with the FAA and other regulatory authorities to facilitate product certification and compliance at the aircraft level
- Research and assess new components, technologies, and methodologies for incorporation into new designs
- Address technical inquiries from internal and external customers concerning new and existing products
