Requirements
Must:
- Enrolled in a full-time bachelors or masters program in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field during the academic term immediately before the internship.
- Must have at least one semester/term remaining following the completion of the internship.
- One year of programming experience in an object-oriented language.
- Ability to submit an official or unofficial academic transcript as part of the evaluation process, if selected for interviews.
- Demonstrate an understanding of computer science fundamentals, including data structures and algorithms, and AI/machine learning concepts.
- Experience with AI/ML projects, like developing machine learning models or implementing AI solutions in real-world applications.
- Familiarity with AI frameworks and libraries such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or scikit-learn.
- Experience using AI tools such as GitHub Copilot or similar, along with an understanding of their strengths and limitations.
Responsibilities
- Apply engineering principles and AI techniques to tackle complex challenges through innovative engineering.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify user requirements for new features.
- Understand and implement Microsofts responsible AI practices to ensure compliance with customer commitments.
- Rapidly learn new engineering methodologies and emerging AI and machine learning techniques, integrating them into your work processes.
- Seek feedback and leverage internal or industry best practices to enhance technical solutions.
- Exhibit proficiency in time management and successfully complete software projects within a collaborative team setting.
- Investigate current advancements and actively seek new knowledge to boost product availability, reliability, efficiency, and performance, whilst promoting consistent monitoring and operations at scale.
