Requirements
Must:
- Extensive experience with large language models, including hands-on training or production applications
- Proven ability to design and execute post-training experiments (evaluations, ablations, preference tuning, and RLHF methods)
- Experience in building and managing scalable data pipelines for both training and evaluation
- Strong proficiency in Python for machine learning experimentation, data processing, and analysis
- Solid foundation in statistical principles, experimental design, and engineering fundamentals
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, enabling effective collaboration with researchers, engineers, and interdisciplinary teams
- Preferred: Demonstrated state-of-the-art results in large-scale training, inference, or evaluation methodologies
Responsibilities
- Create evaluations for advanced model capabilities and utilize them to drive fast, impactful iteration cycles
- Collaborate with vendors to generate high-quality evaluation and training data
- Develop data pipelines to ensure the production of high-quality evaluation and training datasets
- Create data flywheels to systematically address model weaknesses, using data from deployment environments
- Guarantee the quality, quantity, and coverage of data throughout various post-training phases
- Conduct post-training experiments and ablations to enhance model performance according to our evaluations
- Uphold and reflect our organizational culture and values
