Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field AND at least 2 years of engineering experience with programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python - Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements - 2+ years of experience in software engineering or systems administration focusing on Windows Client/Server (preferred) - 2+ years in customer-facing roles like site reliability or support engineering (preferred) - Proficient in troubleshooting and data/log analysis skills (Perfmon/XPerf/ETL/ETW) - Familiarity with LSASS functionality, Kerberos protocol, and cloud authentication packages - Experience with Entra ID and hybrid authentication scenarios between Active Directory and Entra ID - Over 4 years of experience in software engineering or Windows administration (preferred) - Technical knowledge and a proactive approach towards Microsoft M365 technologies - Ability to read, analyze, and conduct source code investigations in C/C++ / C# - Expertise with Windows on Azure for reliability and performance - Proficiency in scripting development (PowerShell, VB Script) - Understanding of networking protocols and troubleshooting network issues

- Design, develop, and maintain scalable software solutions to enhance Windows reliability, performance, and user experience - Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and align on technical strategies for delivering quality software - Analyze usage patterns and customer feedback to identify opportunities for enhancement and better performance - Implement and validate software modifications using robust testing and continuous integration methodologies - Exhibit leadership by taking ownership of projects, promoting technical excellence, and nurturing a team-focused environment - Engage with engineering teams for code reviews, knowledge sharing, and contribution to architectural discussions - Utilize diagnostic tools and analytical strategies to efficiently diagnose and resolve software issues - Maintain a user-centric approach by creating intuitive and secure software that aligns with customer needs and expectations

As a technical leader, you will have ample opportunities to mentor colleagues, engage in educational initiatives, and respond to incidents. We provide extensive resources, including a rich content library and advanced diagnostic tools. Joining our organization allows you to collaborate directly with experts, Product Managers, and Software Engineers involved in designing and building Microsoft products. Our Windows Servicing & Delivery (WSD) SWE Team employs diagnostic data and technical expertise to refine our offerings, concentrating on Windows client, updates, and reliability.
