Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, with 2+ years of technical engineering experience in coding languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Alternatively, equivalent experience may be considered.
- More than 4 years of experience in operating and enhancing large-scale online services, with firsthand knowledge of incidents, scaling issues, and lessons learned from production responsibilities.
- At least 2 years of experience in ServiceNow platform development and administration, with a solid understanding of upgrade processes, instance management, and platform architecture beyond basic configuration.
- A minimum of 2 years of hands-on coding experience in JavaScript, Python, PowerShell, or C#, focusing on actual code writing rather than just workflow configuration.
- Demonstrated fluency in the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), having delivered features from unclear requirements to production while managing the process efficiently.
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities, capable of engaging across teams, translating technical complexities for non-technical stakeholders, and avoiding siloed work.
- Comfort with uncertainty and fast-paced environments, able to operate independently without needing constant direction.
- Preferred: Experience with ServiceNow Tokyo release or later, familiarity with AI/ML tools for operational automation or intelligent workflows, background in compliance automation, risk management, or GRC frameworks, experience with Azure DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, or infrastructure-as-code, and ServiceNow certifications (CSA, CIS, CAD).

Responsibilities
- Ensure platform reliability at scale by driving service health objectives across multiple ServiceNow production instances and supporting Azure subscriptions, taking ownership of outcomes rather than just configurations.
- Collaborate within feature teams to convert vague requirements into well-defined designs and deliver them through thorough update set reviews, peer collaboration, and structured release management.
- Elevate engineering standards by defining and upholding development and operational benchmarks across ServiceNow feature teams, championing quicker, safer releases while maintaining quality.
- Design and implement automation and AI-driven tools to eliminate manual tasks, enforce process consistency, and expedite incident recovery.
- Lead platform upgrades and patches, managing the planning, execution, and post-deployment evaluations to ensure smooth operations without issues.
- Modernize the support toolchain by integrating new technologies into the production support pipeline to minimize release friction, enhance diagnostics, and reduce mean time to recovery.
