Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of technical engineering experience with programming in languages such as C, C++, C#, Rust, Python, or Perl
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience, is preferred for applicants with 3+ years of relevant experience
- 5+ years of technical engineering experience in coding for those with a Bachelors Degree
- Familiarity with Windows device driver development
- Experience in driver or kernel-mode development
- Proficiency in native C/C++ systems programming
- Skilled at complex systems debugging
- Knowledge of verification tools, either static or runtime
- Experience in Rust development
- Background in security research
- Experience in building or integrating AI agents
Responsibilities
- Develop next-gen driver platform components to enhance security and reliability
- Troubleshoot complex driver/kernel-mode issues across various hardware configurations
- Examine security vulnerabilities and identify patterns to fortify the device driver ecosystem
- Collaborate with Windows teams and hardware partners to deliver strong, certifiable drivers
- Propel AI-driven engineering by creating and integrating AI agents throughout development, validation, debugging, and certification processes
Description
We are the Driver Platform team, responsible for constructing the foundational systems that enable the development, validation, certification, and delivery of Windows device drivers. Our mission is to offer a comprehensive platform that allows the ecosystem to produce secure, reliable, and high-quality device drivers at scale. We seek a Software Engineer II who is enthusiastic about learning, teamwork, and contributing to platform support for a varied ecosystem of hardware partners. This position provides valuable insights into operating system architecture, focusing on kernel-mode and device driver interfaces.
