Requirements
Must:
- Doctorate (or currently pursuing) in Computer Science or a related field
- Equivalent experience in a relevant area
- Proven research contributions demonstrated by public artifacts such as models, tools, or code in the AI domain, or publications in conferences like NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, ACL, NAACL, CVPR, COLT, ECCV, ICCV, EMNLP
- Experience in developing and evaluating cutting-edge models
- Strong publication record as a lead author or significant contributor in AI research
- Participation in leading conferences within the relevant research field
- Ability to create an ambitious and original research agenda
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to lead multidisciplinary teams
- Genuine interest in applying AI research to real-world problems

Description
At Microsoft, our AI Frontiers lab is dedicated to pushing the boundaries of Artificial Intelligence through innovative research in foundation models and learning agent platforms. We invite a Senior Researcher - Generative AI to our dynamic team located in either Redmond, WA or New York City, NY. In this pivotal role, you will lead advancements in Generative AI and Large Language Models, contributing to the development of state-of-the-art technologies that address real-world challenges. Our lab provides a collaborative environment for multidisciplinary research, fosters opportunities for practical impact, supports open publications, and maintains connections with top-tier academic institutions globally.
