Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience in mentioned programming languages OR Bachelors Degree with 8+ years of experience OR equivalent experience (preferred)
- Experience with client-server integrations via REST/JSON, GraphQL, or WebSockets
- Proven track record of debugging client issues and enhancing performance for quality user experiences
- Familiarity with building accessible applications adhering to WCAG and ADA specifications
- Strong collaboration skills and a focus on data-driven execution
Responsibilities
- Develop and deliver Copilot Shopping experiences from start to finish, prioritizing frontend quality, including user experience, accessibility, performance, and reliability
- Navigate the entire architecture fluidly: client (web/mobile), services/APIs, data contracts, telemetry, experimentation, and operational tools
- Closely collaborate with Product, Design, and Data Science teams to establish success metrics, implement telemetry, conduct experiments, and iterate based on results
- Create and implement reusable UI components and client patterns, contributing to service integration and backend modifications as needed to enhance the experience
- Promote engineering excellence through code reviews, automated testing, CI/CD practices, and performance profiling
- Ensure live-site quality through oversight of monitoring, alerting, incident management, and improvements to minimize diagnosis time
- Provide mentorship and technical leadership to elevate the team through documentation and best practices
