Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years of technical engineering experience in coding with languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Familiarity with security screening requirements, including the ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 6+ years of relevant experience, or a Bachelors Degree with 8+ years of experience preferred
- Experience with large-scale distributed systems on cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform)
- Proficiency in designing service architectures focusing on scalability, reliability, fault tolerance, and cost efficiency
- Knowledge in using observability tools to address complex service challenges and enhance reliability
- Background in mentoring engineers, conducting code reviews, and promoting engineering best practices
- Awareness of experimentation platforms, A/B testing methodologies, and the statistical analysis of product metrics
- Experience with AI-assisted development workflows and responsible AI coding tool usage in production environments
Responsibilities
- Utilize AI tools and practices throughout the software development lifecycle, taking ownership of AI-generated outputs and guiding team members in responsible AI-assisted development
- Lead by example in producing scalable, maintainable, thoroughly tested, secure, and efficient code; utilize metrics to enhance code quality and stability
- Manage the architecture and design of product components, developing design specifications while ensuring performance, scalability, and disaster recovery standards
- Work collaboratively with partner teams, product managers, and subject matter experts to gather customer requirements and deliver reliable features with comprehensive end-to-end testing
- Promote engineering excellence through automation, improvements in tooling, security best practices, and deployment infrastructure
- Oversee live site services on a rotational basis, devise solutions for complex live-site challenges, conduct incident analyses, and enhance troubleshooting guides and monitoring practices
