Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline
- Minimum of 4 years engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience
- Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire and every two years thereafter
- Masters Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering (preferred)
- Over 8 years of experience in SSD firmware engineering development (preferred)
- At least 4 years of hands-on experience with NVMe and PCIe technologies (preferred)
- Expertise in SSD virtualization, reliability, fault analysis, and live-site operations (preferred)
- Proficient in analyzing storage system solutions and driving recommendations based on data
- Capable of leading collaborative technical projects from inception to successful execution
- Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and prioritization skills
- Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and resolving conflicts while maintaining quality
Responsibilities
- Design and develop advanced fleet resiliency systems for storage devices at scale
- Create scalable live monitoring systems along with fault detection and repair solutions
- Deploy SSD and Storage Accelerator firmware across hyperscale cloud environments
- Lead collaborative initiatives with hardware, firmware, and software teams for fault reduction projects
- Build automation processes to enhance repair efficiency for storage operations within the production fleet
- Work closely with suppliers to create reliable, high-performance, quality storage devices
- Analyze data to identify, prototype, and implement technical and process enhancements for improved Azure system predictability and quality
- Provide active support to Azure service stakeholders
