Senior Software Engineer - Poly

- Translate user and stakeholder requirements into effective designs while clarifying acceptance criteria and ensuring compliance with architecture and security standards - Take ownership of complex components from start to finish by producing maintainable and efficient code; write unit and integration tests; and maintain engineering excellence through comprehensive reviews - Break down large projects into well-defined tasks with estimates, and identify cross-team dependencies and risks to drive execution toward meeting schedule and quality objectives - Act as the senior Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) for services/features by leading incident response, performing root-cause analysis, automating playbooks, and focusing on measurable incident and toil reduction - Enhance service reliability and operational maturity by integrating improved telemetry, observability, and automated rollback/remediation workflows, along with proactive performance tuning - Design and manage Infrastructure as Code (IaC) assets including resource templates, declarative configurations, and automated deployment pipelines to ensure consistent, secure provisioning across cloud environments - Promote continuous learning and knowledge sharing through evaluation of emerging technologies, documentation of best practices, and mentoring peers to elevate code quality and operational standards - Exemplify our culture and values in all aspects of work
