Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent experience
- 4+ years technical engineering experience coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Ability to pass the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire and every two years thereafter
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience preferred
- 6+ years experience as a professional software developer preferred
- Experience in building high-performance, multi-threaded, distributed systems, preferably in a Linux environment
- Knowledge of optimization techniques and architecture patterns, including service-oriented architecture (SOA)
- Strong foundation in data structures, algorithms, and time complexity
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify user needs for various features
- Contribute to feature documentation and design processes with minimal supervision
- Write and implement code for products, services, or features, reusing existing code where applicable
- Assist in decomposing larger tasks into smaller, manageable ones while providing estimations
- Serve as a designated responsible individual (DRI) to monitor system performance and authorize service restoration for minor issues
- Stay current with industry trends and advancements to enhance product availability, reliability, and performance
- Mentor junior engineers, sharing best practices in software development
