Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4+ years of software engineering experience in languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements
- Must pass Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
- Preferred: Masters degree in Computer Science or related field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience, or Bachelors degree and 8+ years of experience
- 3+ years designing, implementing, and troubleshooting cloud-based services
- Development experience with Microsoft Azure Cloud
- Hands-on experience with Azure Resource APIs (e.g., Storage, EventHub, CosmosDB)
- Experience deploying and monitoring Azure resource health, including alerting and diagnostics
- Experience designing and developing microservices at scale
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify user requirements for various scenarios
- Determine dependencies and create design documentation for products, applications, services, or platforms
- Develop, optimize, debug, and refactor code for improved performance and maintainability
- Utilize subject-matter expertise to enhance product features while partnering with stakeholders to steer project and release plans
- Serve as Designated Responsible Individual (DRI) to monitor systems for downtimes or interruptions and take corrective actions as needed
- Educate engineers by sharing best practices and guidance
- Continuously learn and adopt new technologies to enhance system performance and reliability at scale
