Requirements

Must:
- Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field AND at least 3 years of technical engineering experience OR Bachelors Degree in the same fields AND at least 5 years of technical engineering experience OR equivalent experience - Ability to pass Microsoft Cloud background checks upon hire and every two years thereafter - Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field AND at least 3 years technical engineering experience OR Masters Degree AND at least 6 years experience OR Bachelors Degree AND at least 8 years experience OR equivalent experience (preferred) - Chartered or Professional Engineer status or comparable credentials in the country of residence (preferred) - Over 5 years of experience with large-scale facility networking infrastructure projects or similar environments - BICSI RCDD or DCDC certification (preferred) - Familiarity with industry standards, building codes, and safety regulations including BICSI Standards, TDMM, RUS Standards, ANSI/IEEE/IEC, NFPA, NEC, etc. - Understanding of mission-critical environments and telecommunications considerations - Proven ability to oversee multiple projects and manage expectations - Knowledge of structured cabling components - Willingness to travel domestically and internationally - Proficiency in MS Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel for effective reporting and presentations - Experience with ground-up construction and both greenfield and brownfield projects - Familiarity with Bluebeam Revu - Expertise in AutoCAD and 3D BIM programs such as AutoCAD or Revit

Responsibilities

- Collaborate with both internal and external stakeholders to manage the development of datacenter telecommunication designs from Basis of Design (BOD) to Issue for Construction (IFC) - Guide architectural and engineering (A/E) firms in data center physical telecommunications design, including specifications and drawings - Lead specific telecom technical design and ensure comprehensive datacenter solutions align with project scopes, timelines, and budgets - Partner with cross-sectional teams such as engineering, delivery, operations, contractors, and suppliers - Offer guidance to staff augmentation teams, including A/Es and A/E Consultants - Provide remote support for on-site construction teams - Conduct site visits, either in-person or virtually, to monitor construction quality and progress

Our portfolio entails intricate, large-scale construction projects spanning several years. We seek a driven and energetic Senior Datacenter Engineering Telecom Engineer for our AMER region, who will oversee the design and implementation of physical networking infrastructure, address design challenges during construction, and work collaboratively with various teams and stakeholders.
