Requirements
Must:
- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline
- Masters degree in a relevant field and 3+ years of technical experience in network design, development, and automation
- OR Bachelors degree in a related field and 4+ years of technical experience in network design, development, and automation, or equivalent experience
- 10+ years of practical experience in network engineering, covering routing, switching, firewalls, and load balancing (preferred)
- OR Masters degree and 8+ years of hands-on network engineering experience (preferred)
- Extensive background in network support with on-call duties (preferred)
- Relevant industry or product-specific network and security certifications (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage global datacenter network infrastructure for secure environments
- Utilize network expertise and industry trends for effective operations
- Develop materials and convert high-level designs into detailed plans in collaboration with the team
- Engage in network design reviews and ensure quality assurance processes are followed
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and analyze network infrastructure while performing DRI duties and root cause analysis for incidents
- Enhance continuous improvement through testing and validation of network devices
- Collaborate within the engineering team to oversee network deployment processes using machine-readable definitions
- Address issues in network routing protocols, firewalls, load balancers, and overlay technologies
- Ensure compliance with security objectives through network and security management expertise
- Facilitate teamwork by sharing information and resolving conflicts across teams
- Mentor junior engineers while seeking guidance and feedback for personal and team development
