Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and 4+ years of engineering experience with coding in languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Must meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements, including Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related field and 6+ years of engineering experience with programming languages including C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, OR a Bachelors Degree with 8+ years of experience.
- At least 7 years of experience in designing, developing, or maintaining secure software systems, with knowledge of authentication, data protection, access control, and secure coding practices.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience building and operating scalable, highly available cloud services or distributed systems on platforms like Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, or similar environments.
- Experience of 7+ years applying distributed systems concepts such as concurrency, conflict resolution, and consensus algorithms to construct resilient back-end architectures.
- At least 7 years of experience focusing on reliability, durability, and operational efficiency in system design, including live site operations and performance optimization.
- Proficient in modern back-end programming languages like C#, Java, Go, or Python for 7+ years.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of our enterprise-class platform, ensuring it is scalable, reliable, and performs effectively.
- Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to establish technical requirements and propel the implementation of innovative solutions for Microsoft Security services.
- Implement best practices concerning model evaluation and deployment within production environments.
- Mentor and instruct engineers, influencing managers to foster a culture of ongoing learning and technical excellence.
- Partner with product management to prioritize features and roadmap initiatives based on the needs of customers and market trends.
- Ensure compliance with coding standards, software quality, and best practices for managing the software development lifecycle.
- Equip thousands of engineers to use the extensibility framework by creating learning and maintenance processes.
- Develop resources necessary to enable others to build upon the Copilot for Security Platform.
