Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field and over 6 years of technical engineering experience with programming in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience
- Ability to meet Microsofts, customers, and/or government security screening requirements, including the Microsoft Cloud Background Check, required upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter
- Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related technical field and over 10 years of technical engineering experience in coding with languages like C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- Preferred: Over 3 years of experience with AI language models (LLMs) such as OpenAI, Azure AI, or machine learning
Responsibilities
- Spearhead the identification of dependencies and create design documentation for a product, application, service, or platform
- Model best practices and guide others to create extensible and maintainable code utilized across various products
- Utilize expertise in cross-product features to collaborate with stakeholders (e.g., project managers) and drive project and release plans
- Take responsibility as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), mentoring engineers across products/solutions, and being on-call to monitor systems for degradation, downtime, or interruptions
- Actively pursue new knowledge, adapting to trends and technical solutions that enhance product availability, reliability, efficiency, observability, and performance, while promoting consistency in monitoring and operations at scale
