Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline AND at least 8 years of technical engineering experience in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, Go, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Masters degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline AND over 10 years of technical engineering experience in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
- OR a bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related technical field AND a minimum of 12 years of technical engineering experience in the same programming languages.
- 8+ years in technical engineering roles creating large-scale services.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in designing and operating security-critical or AI-powered systems at scale, including agentic AI, secure orchestration, or advanced threat mitigation.
- Demonstrated capability to design, develop, and ship agentic AI features or frameworks.
- Proficient in articulating complex systems and security concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, able to influence cross-organizational roadmaps.
- Experience building production agent systems with frameworks like LangGraph, Amazon Strands SDK, or similar platforms, and familiarity with agentic design patterns, including tool calling and secure delegation.
- Hands-on experience with distributed training frameworks (Ray, Slurm, HPC) and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) for ML model deployment and lifecycle management in production.
- Background in designing evaluation frameworks for LLM-based applications, including observability for agent systems using tools like Phoenix, MLFlow, LangFuse, or custom evaluations; understanding AI safety evaluation strategies including adversarial testing and red-teaming.
- Experience with integration into Azure AI services, Azure OpenAI Service, or Microsoft security solutions (Azure AD, Defender, Purview).
- Proven history of mentoring engineers, promoting the adoption of secure agentic AI standards across product teams, and influencing technical roadmaps while balancing innovation with fundamental principles.

Responsibilities
- Create and launch agentic AI-powered security features that safeguard users against threats like prompt injection, adversarial manipulation, and misuse of agentic workflows.
- Design and establish secure orchestration frameworks that allow Copilot to delegate, coordinate, and execute actions across various devices, services, and platforms safely.
- Invent and implement new intelligent agents that utilize information flow analysis while applying common sense and judgment for security and privacy.
- Collaborate with product, engineering, security, privacy, and AI teams to promote the usage of agentic security patterns and best practices throughout Copilot and MAI.
- Track important metrics for agentic AI security and innovation, leveraging data-driven insights to enhance defenses and capabilities.
- Align with Microsofts central security and AI roadmaps, integrating platform features into Copilot and MAI consumer situations.
- Record secure agentic AI patterns, ensuring they address new risks, support safe delegation, and enable responsible orchestration of actions.
