Requirements
Must:
- Doctorate in Physics, Engineering, or a related field with 3+ years of industry or research and development experience
- Masters Degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field with 6+ years of industry or research and development experience
- Bachelors Degree in Physics, Engineering, or a related field with 8+ years of industry or research and development experience
- Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements
- Proficient in leveraging AI tools for innovation and efficiency, including performance modeling and task automation
- Capability to utilize AI to enhance engineering and laboratory workflows
- Familiarity with industry-standard or custom chip and circuit design/layout tools (preferred)
- Demonstrated technical leadership in complex, multidisciplinary hardware programs (preferred)
- Experience in semiconductor device design and fabrication processes (preferred)
- Engagement with foundries or semiconductor manufacturing partners (preferred)
- Knowledge of IC or ASIC design flows (preferred)
- Understanding of quantum computing hardware platforms such as superconducting, topological, or spin-based qubits (preferred)
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with fabrication, systems, packaging, and control teams to co-design QPUs while considering system-level constraints and scalability requirements
- Act as a technical lead and design authority in partnerships with design, fabrication, and packaging collaborators
- Implement integrated circuit design principles and best practices to enhance design workflows and execution efficiency
- Co-develop process assumptions, design guidelines, and qualification methodologies with fabrication partners
- Promote and uphold our organizational culture and values in every aspect of work
