Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with proficiency in programming languages such as C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience.
- Masters Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years of technical engineering experience with significant work in machine learning or applied AI
- OR equivalent experience.
- Proven experience in designing and implementing large-scale ML or MLOps systems in research or product environments.
- Hands-on experience with large-scale distributed training of ML models.
- In-depth knowledge of ML algorithms, model optimization, and frameworks (e.g., PyTorch, TensorFlow).
- Experience in optimizing data mixes, mid-training, post-training, model merging, or model distillation.
- Understanding of security and compliance standards for enterprise and health data.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and resolve issues in a collaborative, research-driven setting.

Responsibilities
- Lead the design and creation of machine learning models and systems tailored for health and life sciences applications, ensuring high scalability and dependability.
- Develop and define the technical strategy and architecture for ML pipelines, which encompass data ingestion, feature engineering, model training, evaluation, and deployment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including scientists, researchers, and software engineers, to conceptualize and develop AI-based scientific systems.
- Mentor engineers and researchers, encouraging best practices in ML development, experimentation, and ethical AI principles.
- Ensure that all ML workflows and data handling comply with security, privacy, and regulatory standards.
