Requirements
Must:
- Doctorate in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field AND over 3 years of technical engineering experience
- Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a similar discipline AND more than 6 years of technical engineering experience
- Bachelors Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or an equivalent field AND at least 8 years of technical engineering experience
- Ability to satisfy Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening criteria is necessary for this position
- 7+ years of hands-on experience creating and developing firmware and software solutions to enhance system reliability, availability, and serviceability
- Recognized technical leader with experience in Enterprise/Cloud Server hardware architecture and understanding of HW/FW/OS interactions
- Proven experience in diagnosing complex system-level issues and offering solutions or trade-offs to meet business objectives
- Proficient in programming languages such as C and Python
- Skilled in managing intricate partner engagement and leading engineering collaborations
Responsibilities
- Oversee the architecture, design, and implementation of firmware and RAS (Reliability, Availability, and Serviceability) solutions at cloud scale
- Partner with hardware and software teams to define, design, and specify highly scalable, reliable, and serviceable solutions for cloud scale workloads, including Compute and AI/ML
- Guide a team of developers in architecting and prototyping solutions, applying industry-standard development processes, and transitioning these into production-ready cloud-scale solutions
- Conduct system-level debugging and troubleshooting to identify and resolve intricate hardware/firmware-related challenges
- Keep abreast of industry trends and advancements in cloud firmware technologies, providing recommendations for enhancements
- Exemplify our organizational culture and values
