Requirements
Must:
- Masters Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field AND 4+ years of experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering
- OR Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field AND 6+ years of experience in business analytics, data science, software development, data modeling, or data engineering
- OR equivalent experience.
- At least 4 years in Big Data Infrastructure, DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering.
- 3+ years managing and scaling distributed systems from bare-metal to cloud-native environments.
- 2+ years deploying containerized applications with Kubernetes and Helm/Kustomize.
- Strong scripting and automation skills with Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Proven track record in CI/CD pipeline management, release automation, and production troubleshooting.
- Proficient with Databricks for scalable data processing and analytics.
- Understanding of security practices in infrastructure environments, including IAM, OAuth, and Kerberos administration.
- Experienced with cloud-native infrastructure across Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Hands-on knowledge of modern data platforms such as Databricks and various data storage technologies, including relational and NoSQL databases.
- Experience with messaging systems like Event Hub, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Familiarity with modern web stacks including TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
- Exposure to deep learning and AI frameworks, with practical experience integrating LLMs into workflows.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for performance and scalability issues across infrastructure layers.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities, especially with a passion for mentorship and continuous learning.
- Experience enhancing DevOps workflows with LLMs is a significant advantage.
Responsibilities
- Design and maintain scalable, reliable, and observable Big Data Infrastructure for mission-critical AI applications.
- Advocate for DevOps and SRE best practices, including automated deployments, service monitoring, and incident management.
- Create a self-service big data platform that supports data engineers and researchers.
- Build robust CI/CD pipelines and automate infrastructure provisioning using Infrastructure as Code tools such as Bicep, Terraform, or ARM.
- Work closely with Data Engineers, Data Scientists, AI Researchers, and Developers to create secure and efficient big data workflows.
- Conduct technical design reviews and ensure a clean, secure, and well-documented codebase.
- Identify and address bottlenecks in data pipelines and infrastructure proactively.
- Enhance system performance within storage, compute, and analytics layers.
- Collaborate with Security teams to strengthen system security measures such as IAM, OAuth, or Kerberos.
