Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, along with 6+ years of hands-on engineering experience in programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python
- OR equivalent experience
- Preferred: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or a related discipline AND 8+ years of technical engineering experience, OR Masters Degree in Computer Science or a related field with 8+ years of experience in similar programming languages
- 6+ years of experience in managing teams
- Demonstrated experience in steering engineering teams to create large-scale software systems, ideally in AI, machine learning, graphics, or similar areas
- Ability to excel in a dynamic, collaborative setting and navigate through uncertainty
- Passion for working closely with diverse teams in an inclusive and curious cultural environment
- Strong perspectives on optimal investments for establishing an outstanding AI companion engineering framework.
Responsibilities
- Recruit, manage, and guide a team of software engineers focused on creating exceptional, emotionally engaging AI character interactions
- Collaborate with engineering, design, and product leadership to set priorities and deliver an outstanding AI companion to users
- Create and develop a robust AI character infrastructure that ensures swift, dependable, and scalable experiences
- Lead the execution of features and systems, breaking down long-term objectives into manageable milestones, coordinating with release strategies, and ensuring teamwork across departments
- Represent and uphold our organizational culture and values.
