Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience considered. - A minimum of 3 to 5 years in Identity and Access Management (IAM), Security Engineering, or a comparable information security position. - Extensive experience in a large multi-server wide area network environment using Microsoft Windows workstations. - Practical knowledge of security systems and identity platforms, including Microsoft Entra ID (Azure AD), Single Sign-On (SSO), federated identity, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and Conditional Access. - Experience with role-based access control, privileged access models (PIM/PAM), and joiner/mover/leaver workflows. - Proficiency in Microsoft products and security best practices, particularly with Active Directory, Group Policy Objects, and PowerShell/GUI administration tools. - Understanding of Zero Trust principles, least-privilege access models, and IAM governance best practices. - Strong communication skills to engage effectively with all organizational levels, including end users, technical staff, and management. - Experience in supporting audit, compliance, or regulatory standards related to identity and access controls.

Responsibilities

- Manage and secure user identities across our Family of Companies by overseeing daily identity and access management operations, including automated joiner/mover/leaver workflows and troubleshooting complex access issues. - Design, implement, and maintain secure and scalable IAM solutions, processes, and standards that enhance operational efficiency and reduce identity-related risks through least-privilege access enforcement. - Maintain detailed knowledge of identity usage within all company systems, ensuring accurate documentation and operational procedures while continuously assessing and enhancing workflows to meet business needs and security standards. - Collaborate with application owners, business stakeholders, and IT teams to ensure secure access, bolster identity security, minimize risks, and support compliance with regulatory and organizational mandates.

We are seeking an Identity & Access Management Engineer to design, implement, and sustain secure identity and access solutions that protect our systems and data while ensuring efficient and compliant user access. This role serves as a technical leader for IAM, promoting best practices in authentication and authorization aligned with security standards, regulatory obligations, and our business goals. We provide a full benefits package including medical, dental, vision, and a 401K plan, and are located at the Farm Bureau Center in Lansing, MI.
