Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering or Engineering Technology
- 3+ years of experience in relevant engineering roles
- Strong mechanical aptitude and keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to collaborate effectively in a team
- Proficiency in designing and programming PLCs for automated testing
- Experience with eDAQ data acquisition systems
- Knowledge of servo-hydraulic testing equipment and dynamometers
- Background in testing and constructing fluid power systems
- Familiarity with CREO (Pro-E) software
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the product development team to verify and qualify new Scag products through field and lab testing
- Partner with the product cost engineer to assess alternative components and designs
- Engage with software/electrical tasks approximately 10-20% of the time
- Create and implement test plans to assess product operation and performance during development and lifecycle
- Conduct safety testing in accordance with industry standards (ANSI, OPEI, CPSC, etc.)
- Collect, analyze, and interpret data from field tests using appropriate acquisition hardware/software
- Document findings from field tests and lab results in comprehensive written reports
- Maintain a database to track validation efforts and testing outcomes
- Propose improvements for future system and component reliability
- Design, implement, and analyze automated lab tests to simulate various forces and motions based on test parameters
