Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent experience)
- 3-5+ years of hands-on software development experience
- Proficiency with modern JavaScript frameworks such as React, Next.js, or Angular
- Experience in building or integrating RESTful APIs
- Knowledge of cloud platforms, preferably Microsoft Azure (experience with AWS or GCP is advantageous)
- Familiarity with relational databases and SQL
- Understanding of software development best practices, debugging strategies, and version control systems
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall methodologies
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a collaborative approach to teamwork
- Experience in a manufacturing or industrial setting is preferable
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web and enterprise applications that facilitate business operations
- Collaborate with the Software Architect and development team to create scalable and maintainable software solutions
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code adhering to established development standards
- Assist in maintaining and enhancing existing JavaScript-based applications and systems
- Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and backend services
- Engage in code reviews, debugging, and troubleshooting to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Utilize source control systems and issue tracking tools to manage development tasks and versioning
- Support application deployments and assist with testing across development, staging, and production environments
- Help ensure data accuracy and integrity during application updates and releases
- Collaborate with both business stakeholders and IT teams to understand requirements and translate them into technical solutions
- Participate in Agile or Waterfall development processes based on project requirements
- Provide occasional support for troubleshooting and system updates across multiple locations

At Metalcraft of Mayville, we are seeking a Senior Software Developer to join our team in Mayville, Wisconsin. This role involves the design, development, and maintenance of enterprise software applications, offering a great opportunity to work closely with senior developers and the Software Architect. We are focused on building modern web-based solutions while modernizing our existing systems. As a part of our team, you will contribute to both new application developments and modernization efforts, ensuring that our technology stack continues to evolve. This position is onsite only; we do not offer remote work options.
