Requirements
Must:
- We are looking for a senior security systems engineer with a strong foundation in cybersecurity and a primary emphasis on Cisco environments.
- We prefer experience with security monitoring and analysis platforms such as Splunk.
- We value familiarity with vulnerability scanning tools and cyber risk management frameworks.
- We need someone with an understanding of automation systems and industrial control systems security.
- Exposure to enterprise service platforms, such as the ServiceNow ecosystem, is beneficial.
- Strong technical writing ability is preferred.
- Knowledge of SSCP and/or CISSP concepts is a plus, though certification is not required.
- You must be able to work onsite in Detroit, MI 48239 five days per week.
- A drug screening and background check are required.
- Manufacturing experience is not necessary, as we will provide training in OT security for a manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
- We will have you work with PLCs and related operational equipment.
- You will review, develop, and verify backup and recovery plans.
- You will audit plant environments to determine the current security posture.
- You will identify and document recovery assets, spare components, and backup procedures.
- You will assess and communicate cybersecurity risk, including exposure from network-connected systems.
- You will use vulnerability scanning tools to uncover configuration weaknesses and underlying root causes.
- You will support cybersecurity frameworks and assist with remediation initiatives.
- You will partner with business and technical stakeholders, including BISO and CIO-level collaborators.
Description
We are an enterprise-level organization seeking to add a Senior Security System Engineer to our team in Detroit, MI 48239. This is a six-month-plus contract opportunity, with potential for extension and possible conversion to permanent employment, though neither is guaranteed. The role is fully onsite, five days per week, and offers a pay rate of $52 per hour on W2 plus benefits. We work with top IT talent and are committed to helping the right person grow into OT security within a manufacturing setting.
