Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Industrial Engineering or General Engineering
- A minimum of 3 years of engineering experience
- Proven track record of leading and executing medium to large-scale operational improvement projects
- Strong analytical capabilities, with an ability to convert process evaluations into actionable solutions
- Experience in managing diverse projects of varying complexity in a fast-paced environment
- Physical capability to stand or walk throughout the day in a warehousing setting
- Demonstrated expertise in process analysis and continuous improvement techniques
- Effective project management skills, able to juggle multiple priorities
- Solid understanding of principles related to operational efficiency and labor optimization
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills relying on data
- Ability to mentor and provide technical guidance to enhance performance and development
- Experience in distribution or warehousing
- Willingness to travel occasionally for business within Canada
Responsibilities
- Oversee numerous nationwide projects from planning to execution, collaborating with team members from various departments and specialties
- Partner with technology solution providers to assess and potentially implement advanced solutions
- Offer indirect support and guidance to Operations Engineer I and II roles
- Provide expertise in Warehouse Management Systems, Labor Management Systems, Transportation Management Systems, and proficiency in Microsoft Access
- Conduct and implement work measurement techniques, including time and motion studies
- Back continuous improvement efforts by standardizing procedures and integrating best practices across operations
- Work collaboratively with Operations, Engineering, and other stakeholders to ensure solutions are effective and scalable
