Senior Manager, Software Engineering

- Lead and guide a dynamic team of software engineers to create complex, enterprise-level software solutions in line with our modernization and digital transformation efforts. - Define and spearhead the technical strategy for updating legacy systems using cloud-native architectures, focusing on Microsoft Azure and Java-based platforms. - Create and implement long-term engineering roadmaps to promote business growth, scalability, and system resilience. - Utilize Azure platform services including Azure App Services, Functions, API Management, Service Bus, Event Grid, Cosmos DB, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, Application Insights, and Azure DevOps. - Mentor the team on the adoption and application of Java frameworks and tools such as Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Hibernate, JUnit, Maven/Gradle, and RESTful API development. - Apply strategic thinking to ensure engineering investments align with business goals, identify cost-savings opportunities, and assess emerging technologies. - Oversee the entire software development lifecycle (SDLC), which includes architecture, design, coding, testing, release, and support. - Promote engineering excellence by advocating for best practices in CI/CD, test automation, secure development, and clean code principles. - Collaborate with product management, architecture, infrastructure, and security teams to ensure solutions adhere to enterprise standards and regulatory demands. - Recognize and mitigate technical risks while managing dependencies, timelines, and resources across various workstreams. - Recruit, mentor, and cultivate high-performing engineering talent; set clear objectives, provide ongoing feedback, and nurture a culture of accountability and continuous improvement. - Manage budgets and resource forecasting while ensuring the successful delivery of large-scale programs within set timelines and scopes.
