Requirements
Must:
- Associates degree in an engineering or science discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Proficient in Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies.
- Strong statistical and mathematical skills.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word, including features like headers, page breaks, and tables.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including formatting, slide layouts, and transitions.
- Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including functions, charts, and formatting options.
- Capable of technical writing.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate workforce, facility layout, and operational data to optimize the use of personnel and equipment.
- Gather data and conduct engineering analyses, including process waste assessment and time studies.
- Support the assessment, development, and implementation of Lean Manufacturing principles across all processes to enhance efficiency and quality.
- Suggest strategies for boosting worker productivity and minimizing material and energy waste through job restructuring and workflow organization.
- Educate staff and facilitate Kaizen events, working independently or collaboratively on specific projects. Manage 5S and promote My Kaizen Idea Programs.
