Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline (Industrial Engineering/Mechanical Engineering)
- Minimum of 6 years of experience in a manufacturing or warehouse setting
- At least 4 years of experience in a management role, including hiring, training, and guiding staff
- Intermediate proficiency in computer systems and software
- Advanced skills in technical writing and research documentation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Access, including various advanced functions
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, with experience in functions and pivot tables
- Proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, including animation and timing settings
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, with skills in macros and table formatting
- Basic knowledge of AS400 or ERP systems
- Experience with CAD tools is preferred
Responsibilities
- Oversee and direct a critical function within the Engineering Department
- Modify product designs, enhance production methods, and establish testing protocols
- Implement improvements to enhance operational efficiency
- Assess the feasibility, cost-effectiveness, and market demand for new and existing products
- Prepare budget forecasts and analyze departmental operating costs
- Identify opportunities to boost operational productivity across various sectors
- Establish quality standards for new packaging materials and ensure compliance with performance criteria
- Conduct complex analyses to refine existing procedures and contribute to process improvement initiatives
- Evaluate capital expenditure costs to identify breakeven points and savings
- Provide training on engineering principles and methodologies as necessary
- Mentor and develop team members through onboarding, communication, and performance management processes, fostering a positive work environment
