Requirements

Must:
- Over 15 years of experience in software engineering with a focus on application modernization and full stack microservices development on AKS and cloud platforms, especially Azure. - At least 10 years of experience in various programming languages such as Java, .NET, Python, React, Angular, etc., and comprehensive knowledge of the full software development lifecycle (SDLC). - A Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline. - Proven experience in developing and delivering training programs to facilitate adoption of new solutions across the company. - Expertise in designing, developing, and maintaining platform tools and automation frameworks to enhance productivity and streamline the SDLC. - Capability to produce detailed architecture documentation (logical, conceptual, and integration diagrams) for teams and projects. - Extensive experience with containerization and deployment tools like Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm. - Practical knowledge of DevOps and automation tools such as GitLab, Jenkins, Terraform, Ansible, Kubernetes, and Packer. - Familiarity with test automation frameworks like JUnit, Mockito, Selenium, etc. - Experience with AI development tools and practices. - Excellent communication and teamwork skills, capable of working effectively within cross-functional teams. - Strong problem-solving skills, particularly in addressing enterprise-level challenges and developing innovative solutions. - Solid understanding of Agile methodologies, as well as experience with JIRA and other software delivery tools. - Proven ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining ownership and accountability for results.

Responsibilities

- Rapidly deliver proofs of concept (POCs) and pilots, effectively communicating their impact and challenging ideas to facilitate informed decision-making. - Identify challenges faced by internal development teams, propose solutions, and implement features to simplify development and deployment. - Utilize expertise in performance, scalability, enterprise system architecture, and engineering best practices to guide efforts. - Innovate and promote best practices in software architecture and development processes. - Demonstrate proficiency in the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and enhance processes through automation. - Advocate for and support the adoption of the Well-Architected Framework, ensuring best practices are followed by engineering teams. - Collaborate across applications, DevOps, and platform teams to ensure reliability and scalability of platform tools in alignment with organizational standards. - Partner with architects and product managers to convert system architecture and product requirements into high-quality software components. - Balance technical leadership with robust business judgment to make informed technology decisions. - Promote coding standards, automation, observability, and security practices in developer-facing tools and pipelines. - Mentor junior engineers, encouraging their technical growth and professional development. - Drive continuous improvements in development processes, including code reviews, testing, and deployment strategies. - Remain up-to-date with emerging trends and technologies, applying them to improve developer experience and platform capabilities. - Contribute to the design and overall architecture of application modernization initiatives. - Explore and pilot new AI technologies (including agentic AI), translating insights into tangible developer-experience enhancements. - Actively engage in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, including Program Increment (PI) Planning, influencing team direction.

Our anticipated salary range for this position is between $132,600 and $199,160 annually, with actual salary depending on the applicants location, education, experience, skills, and capabilities. This role is eligible for bonuses and incentives.
