Requirements
Must:
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Quality Engineering, with extensive knowledge in test automation.
- Proficient programming skills in Java (Spring Boot stack) and JavaScript/TypeScript (React/Next.js).
- Proven experience in developing automation frameworks utilizing tools like JUnit/TestNG, Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, etc.
- Skilled in evaluating and implementing tools for test case management, execution, and reporting.
- Experience in CI/CD-integrated testing with platforms such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, or their equivalents.
- Understanding of Kubernetes, containers, and testing in cloud-native settings (preferably Azure).
- Familiarity with contract testing, mocking services, and strategies for test data management.
Responsibilities
- Design and sustain reusable automation frameworks for both backend (API/microservices) and frontend (UI) testing.
- Investigate, assess, and introduce contemporary test automation tools (e.g., low-code/no-code, model-based testing, AI-enhanced test platforms).
- Lead proof-of-concept (PoC) initiatives for new tools and frameworks to determine their suitability for the organization.
- Create shared quality tools and pipelines for use across different teams (test orchestration, data configuration, mocks/stubs, parallelization, etc.).
- Work collaboratively with platform, DevOps, and product engineering teams to advance quality measures and define testability blueprints.
- Establish automation standards, coding practices, and governance models for reusability across teams.
- Proactively mentor junior engineers and provide guidance in implementing quality engineering best practices.

We are on the lookout for an experienced Senior Software Engineer specializing in Cloud Native Automation to join our Digital Frameworks team. In this unique position, you will lead the evolution of test engineering by engaging in critical automation projects and enabling frameworks, tools, and platforms that enhance quality across our product teams. This is not your typical QA role; we seek a full-stack automation expert enthusiastic about tooling, platforms, and frameworks. You will assess the latest solutions—including low-code/no-code test tools, craft proof-of-concepts, and influence architectural decisions. Our application stack encompasses Java/Spring Boot microservices for the backend and Next.js/React for the frontend, all hosted on Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
