Requirements
Must:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS/Azure, Jenkins, Terraform, GitLab) desired but not mandatory.
- Over 5 years of experience in Platform Operations or DevOps, managing extensive, enterprise-level environments.
- Strong grasp of CI/CD, automation, and DevOps methodologies.
- Proficient in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, PowerShell).
- Experience with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, GCP.
- Familiar with monitoring, logging, and alerting systems.
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
- Capability to work both independently and as part of a team in a dynamic setting.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience mentoring junior engineers and providing technical guidance including code reviews.
- Expertise in automation frameworks and infrastructure as code (IaC) at a large scale.
- Advanced skills in troubleshooting and root cause analysis for complex, multi-platform challenges.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, support, and enhance the performance and availability of designated platforms.
- Execute and manage system upgrades, patches, and configuration updates across platforms.
- Diagnose and resolve incidents, service disruptions, and performance challenges.
- Collaborate with development, QA, security, and infrastructure teams to ensure platform alignment with both business and technical needs.
- Automate operational tasks and workflows using scripting and platform-native tools.
- Ensure adherence to security policies, standards, and best practices across all platforms.
- Manage user permissions, access, and integrations for supported platforms.
- Create and maintain documentation for platform operations, procedures, and troubleshooting guides.
- Participate in on-call readiness and incident response when necessary.
- Assist in audits and compliance processes related to platform operations.
- Continuously assess and propose enhancements to platform architecture and operational methodologies.
- Mentor junior engineers and offer technical support.
- Monitor team objectives and ensure alignment with organizational aims.
- Assist with project management and coordination of significant initiatives.
