Requirements

Must:
- Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Computer Science, or a related discipline (or equivalent professional experience). - Over 5 years of experience in information security, particularly in security operations, incident response, and risk management. - At least 2 years of experience in a leadership role overseeing a technical security team. - Solid understanding of security controls, monitoring, and vulnerability management practices. - Strong knowledge in information security operations, incident response, and remediation workflows. - Familiarity with operational processes across infrastructure, applications, and identity platforms. - Proven abilities in incident triage and decision-making under pressure. - Strong project management skills including planning, execution, and assessment of security initiatives. - Proficiency in defining and tracking operational metrics and KPIs. - Experience in enforcing security policies and procedures within an enterprise context. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on addressing root causes. - Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to articulate technical issues to diverse audiences. - Ability to manage multiple priorities while maintaining operational integrity and delivery of consistent results.

Responsibilities

- Lead, mentor, and develop our team of information security professionals, managing hiring, onboarding, performance evaluations, and career progression. - Act as the escalation point for team members concerning technical, operational, and risk-related security matters. - Promote a culture of accountability and ongoing security awareness within the team. - Oversee daily security operations, including monitoring, detection, response, and remediation activities. - Manage security incident response efforts, encompassing investigation, containment, remediation, and evaluations following incidents. - Ensure the effectiveness and maintenance of on-call and monitoring coverage models. - Define and manage security metrics and reporting to gauge the efficiency and maturity of the security program. - Monitor and report on the progress of operational goals, KPIs, SLAs, and initiatives. - Provide executive-ready reports on our security posture, incidents, and trends. - Enforce and refine information security policies, standards, and procedures. - Collaborate with internal stakeholders to evaluate security risks and facilitate the rectification of identified issues. - Support both internal and external audits by ensuring that evidence, controls, and processes are properly documented and functioning effectively. - Work closely with senior security leadership to execute our information security roadmap and long-term strategy. - Partner with IT infrastructure, application, and business teams to incorporate security requirements into projects and operations. - Offer security insights and advice regarding new technologies, systems, and architectural adjustments.

Our anticipated salary range for this position is between $116,000.00 and $174,000.00 annually, with actual compensation determined by location, experience, skills, and qualifications. This role is also eligible for bonuses and incentives. For those working fewer hours, we still provide 401(k) contributions and access to various support programs.
