Cloud Native Software Engineer - Automation

- Design, create, and sustain reusable automation frameworks for both backend (API/microservices) and frontend (UI) testing. - Investigate, assess, and implement contemporary test automation tools (e.g., low-code/no-code, model-based testing, AI-powered platforms). - Spearhead proofs-of-concept (PoCs) for new tools and frameworks to determine fit for our organization and simplify shift-left practices within teams. - Contribute to shared quality tools and pipelines that will be utilized across teams (test orchestration, data configuration, mocks/stubs, parallel testing, etc.). - Collaborate with Digital Framework, platform, DevOps, and other engineering teams to enhance quality and establish testability standards. - Lead efforts to set up automation standards, coding protocols, and governance models for cross-team utilization. - Ensure maximum automation coverage for functionality, taking accountability for aligning QA practices with the objective of achieving peak quality. - Oversee overall QA outputs, practices, and standards within teams, ensuring compliance with functional, integration, regression, and performance/load testing goals across all systems and projects. - Actively mentor junior engineers and support teams in embracing quality engineering best practices.
