Requirements
Must:
- Extensive hands-on experience in SAP GTS integration and configuration.
- At least 5 years of direct involvement in SAP GTS development and implementation.
- Experience in product classification, compliance and customs management, FTA, and FTZ.
- Proficient in SAP GTS development to handle ongoing development needs.
- Strong knowledge of import and export management, customs processes, duty calculation, trade compliance, and regulatory controls.
- Contribute to deployments, rollouts, and continual improvements in daily operations.
- Develop and test customized SAP GTS programs supporting data conversions and interfaces.
- Familiarity with interface integration with SAP is a bonus.
- Gather functional and business requirements from users and collaborate with technical teams for design and implementation.
- Conduct fit-gap analysis and lead functional design approval processes.
- Prepare and review documentation to ensure thoroughness and accuracy.
- Engage with business users, client managers, and specialists to comprehend requirements and the broader implementation landscape.
- Capable of high-level solution design tailored to specific needs.
- Suggest and validate various solution options based on client requirements.
- Strong organizational, analytical, planning, and communication abilities.
- Proven capability in testing complex test plans and scripts.
- Proficient in MS Office tools (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio).
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
Responsibilities
- Understand Medlines business processes in global trade and associated areas.
- Collaborate with Medline business users to document functional and non-functional requirements.
- Transform documented requirements and proposed solutions into robust system designs for developers in India or the US, analyzing the design to pinpoint areas of impact and developing corresponding test plans.
- Work alongside developers to comprehend the designs and ensure that the software solution meets business needs.
- Assist development staff in the implementation and unit testing of these designs, regardless of programming language.
- Formulate test strategies and execute application test plans.
- Support testing staff in executing test plans effectively.
- Troubleshoot reported system issues using data analysis and debugging tools as required.
- Act as the primary contact for addressing support issues during Medlines business hours in India, including end-user calls and scheduled batch job issues.
- Provide feedback to both the development and functional teams to ensure work adheres to the schedule and quality standards.
- Maintain regular communication with configuration analysts at corporate headquarters to remain updated on new and modified business processes and system enhancements.
- Regularly communicate verbally and provide clear written documentation regarding all assignments.
- Supply estimates and feedback to the Software Development Manager for project scheduling purposes.
